Join Dorset artist, Shaun Forward, on his popular Urban Sketch Walk.
Limited to 6 places, this group starter workshop will take place on Tuesday 20th October 2026 between 10:00am – 3:00pm.
Starting off with coffees in Arcado Lounge at the heart of Christchurch town centre, I’ll show you: how I go about sketching, using sketchbooks and I’ll introduce my preferred small kit of sketching materials. We’ll explore my favourite sketching techniques and get you started on ‘seeing’ the essential details to avoid getting bogged down in the time-consuming and unnecessary! We’ll get outdoors and sketch walk the glorious and ancient buildings and alleyways to start sketching the smaller details and the bigger picture. Bring a packed lunch to share on the quayside – specific details for the day will be supplied to those who book, a few days prior to the event,
This will be a satisfying sketch walk where you will start learning or improving this affordable and portable art hobby – which can easily be taken anywhere and enjoyed for a lifetime.
