What a wonderful day it was – the inaugural Wimborne Plein Air event, hosted by the Otter Gallery, Wimborne.
I had a great day painting my ‘Minster from East Street’ piece, which I entered into the Otter Gallery Wimborne 2024 Plein Air event – and was sold on the Sunday, during the post-event public exhibition.
The weather was superb and the pressure was on – especially with endless chats with a very complementary passing public! With the clock ticking, I barely had a chance to have a good look at the finished piece myself, before framing it in my van in the car park and racing to the judging marquee!
Members of my family made a special visit to Wimborne to view the exhibition and my painting on the Sunday, only to find it had already sold!
But thank you to the buyers – I certainly hope the new owners reap plenty of joy from their new piece of art. Thank you to all – the public passers by, the organisers, the local traders and my fellow artist friends 🙂
