Invited to join the plein air group again this year for the Bluebell wood session. This time, I positioned myself within the shade of the woods and focused on capturing the vibrant yellow of the distant rape seed field seen beyond the woodland copse.
First in a new series of fruits, vegetables, flora and fauna. Acrylic on paper, 6″ x 6″ within a 10″ x 10″ grey beechwood frame.
The bluebell wood located in my sister’s New Forest property, was the subject of this month’s plenaire’s meeting, to which I was lucky enough to have been invited.
Shaun attempts still life! ‘The lemon in front’ is my first ever effort, and I actually find it quite pleasing. I had aimed for a much ‘looser’ feel, but am very happy with this – for my first effort.
