Today, my SketchJAM hit Wimborne! A lovely bunch of sketchers turned out today for this FREE sketching event based in the cosy Snug bar of the very welcoming Piazzo Lounge.
We all hit the streets and sketched what we saw – and of course everyone’s treatments were amazingly different! Lots of happy chatting, coffee, light bites and great company. (Oh, and rain). You can view the Instagram reel here.

Seven of us gathered for a sociable coffee and toasted tea cakes, prior to setting out into the damp day, sketching the beautiful buildings of Wimborne Minster. No was no coaching on offer today – just the opportunity to gather and sketch for free. Having gone off in our own directions to sketch the shops, offices and pubs – we reconvened for a light lunch and some ‘colouring in’ whist the rain tipped it down outside. We did venture out again, and enjoyed exploring and sketching the imposing Minster, itself. The grand 12th century Norman arches, the below-ground-level Crypt with it’s amazing vaulted ceiling, a Knights tomb and the smaller architectural details, too. But before we knew it, it was time to say farewell… Thank you sketchers – a great day!
