During the past 9 months, I have taken onboard the input made by my students, and gradually workshops have evolved to suit popular demands. I think the current format is quite an upgrade.
The very best aspects remain.
The good stuff. I still offer the very same personal interaction that has garnered such comments as “Shaun is so generous with his knowledge” – the same artistic skill set that has earned a flow of 5-Star Google Reviews – and the same friendly & relaxed environment that everyone enjoys so much.
Enhanced by these improved aspects.
We are now shorter and sweeter! My Small Group and Sketch Walk Workshops are now a more manageable five hours, rather than six. Several students felt that the last hour was a bit onerous.
Price reduction! Fees for both above Workshops have been reduced from £75 to £60. That’s a bit easier to swallow, as well! PLUS, I do occasionally offer reduced deals – so keep an eye on my dedicated Facebook page and your inbox…
Less intro – more sketching. I’ve minimised my introductory overview of materials, techniques and styles – which means we can launch in practical sketching much sooner.
Five minute challenges. The introduction of doing a few, swift observational sketching challenges has revolutionised the matter of helping everyone grasp just what we all need to learn – without spending an hour or two labouring over a larger, full-on sketch. It’s fast-tracked the workshop learning process.
Urban Sketch Walks. These have proven to be popular and I intend my schedule to be biased towards these. Without being tied to a fixed physical base, this offers a more adventurous way of approaching the Group Workshop concept, where we can be more mobile and get on with Urban Sketching in the more pure sense.
Across the board. My One-to-One Coaching sessions will also benefit from all these practical improvements, too. Timeframes and fees currently remain unchanged.
Please note: For those who have booked the Pamphill Sketch Walk on 16 June 2026, this will still be a six hour workshop at the old rate – but students will benefit from all the new improvements amalgamated into it.
